We are here to provide proof of the power of truth

Moral Mortal

How much trouble can lies cause? They can destroy lives. We witnessed that a few weeks ago when lies caused hundreds of people to commit an armed home invasion of the People's House. As with any crime, there will be investigations and eventually trials, followed by the penalty that must be paid. In the case of sedition, it is 20 years.
Seditious Conspiracy and Federal Law: The Basics

The federal law against seditious conspiracy can be found in Title 18 of the U.S. Code (which includes treason, rebellion, and similar offenses), specifically 18 U.S.C. § 2384. According to the statutory definition of sedition, it is a crime for two or more people within the jurisdiction of the United States:
To conspire to overthrow or destroy by force the government of the United States or to level war against them;
To oppose by force the authority of the United States government; to prevent, hinder, or delay by force the execution of any law of the United States; or
To take, seize, or possess by force any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof.

Considering the people who are accused of doing this, provided their own evidence with pictures and videos, they have already started to pay a high price.

Family have turned them in. Neighbors have turned them in. They are being fired from their jobs. The list goes on even before they are arrested. All because they believed lies that the election was stolen and they could overturn the results.

Unlike those who provided their own evidence of their guilt, there was absolutely no evidence of anything they accused government officials of committing, That is what the law requires, and rightfully so. Otherwise, anyone can say anything about anyone and have the lies believed.

That is why Moral Mortal started. Too many people are believing lies because they do not care enough to discover if what they hear is true or not. Then in turn share the lie and others follow. Why? Because it was something they wanted to hear. It was something that supported what they wanted to believe. Then they wanted to believe the liar on anything else they had to say.

Had they invested the time spreading the lie on investigation of the validity of it, that horrible day at the US Capitol would have never happened. Terrible people use lies to gain what they seek and depend on those who follow them, to not question them.

We need no more proof of the power of lies. We are here to provide proof of the power of truth. Had any of those hundreds of people in the Capitol January 6th heard the truth before they decided to do what they did, it would have never happened. Now they realize it, it is too late.

Once you say something or write something, there is no taking it back. Someone will always have a copy of it. Isn't it time you discover what the truth is before you believe a lie?

The Temptations, Smiling Faces is still a powerful song because it reflects how harmful lies are to humans, not generations.

Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend.
Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within.
Smiling faces, Smiling Faces, Sometimes they don't tell the truth.
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.
The truth is in the eye 'cause the eyes don't lie, amen.
Remember, a smile is just a frown turned upside down my friend.
So, hear me when I'm saying
Smiling faces, Smiling Faces, Sometimes they don't tell the truth.
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.
Beware. Beware of the handshake that hides the snake,
I'm tellin' you beware of the pat on the back it just might hold you back.
Jealousy, (Jealousy) misery, (misery) envy.
I tell you you can't see behind
Smiling faces, Smiling Faces, Sometimes they don't tell the truth....
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.
Your enemy won't do you no harm, 'cause you'll know where he's comin' from;
don't let the handshake and the smile fool ya.
Take my advice I'm only tryin' to school ya.
Smiling faces, Smiling Faces, Sometimes they don't tell the truth.
